Reweaving is a specific fabric repair technique used to create near flawless repairs of garments and fabrics. The reweaver must weave a good piece of the fabric into the threads of the damaged area of the garment or fabric to repair moth holes and tears in the fabric.

What kind of Hole or Tear can be repaired?

The best most near-flawless repair can be achieved on holes between 1/8 and 1/4 of an inch. Larger holes and tears may be more challenging but not impossible. A good matching piece of fabric somewhere on the garment will be needed to be matched.

How good is the reweaving process?

The reweaver can attain a near flawless repair. This is dependent on the fabric design and type. Fine wools of a single color can easily achieve top results. Conversely, fabrics with a pinstripe, a perfect repair is still possible as long as a proper section of good fabric is available to weave back into the fabric matching the grain and pinstripe.
